MILLIONS on Statins Who Shouldn’t Be

Looks like the statin-pushers have finally run out of excuses to peddle their pills to everyone with a pulse.

Of course, I’ve already been banging this drum for years.

Statins are NOT the miracle cure Big Pharma wants you to believe.

Instead, they come with a laundry list of side effects that can make your life miserable, all while promising to save you from a heart attack that might never come.

Now, the mainstream has to admit they were wrong all along.

It turns out “we” might have been wildly overestimating cholesterol-linked heart disease risk. Who would’ve thought? (Hint: Anyone who’s been paying attention.)

The PREVENT calculator is a new heart disease risk tool released by the American Heart Association. It was designed to give a more accurate picture of a person’s chance of developing heart disease by adding in new risk factors, like obesity and kidney disease.

Now, a new study using the tool found that, based on this new risk assessment, a whopping 40 percent fewer people might need statins.

That translates to MILLIONS of people who could be spared from an unnecessary heavy-duty medication and sickening side effects like muscle pain, liver damage, and increased diabetes risk.

Remember, there are many better ways to keep your heart healthy, including feel-good strategies such as eating real food, moving your body more, managing stress, and getting enough sleep.

But instead, mainstream medicine prefers you pop a pill and pretend you’re doing something GOOD for your health.

Look, I’m not saying statins don’t have their place. For some high-risk individuals, they might be necessary.

But this blanket approach of throwing statins at everyone over a certain age or with slightly elevated cholesterol has been nonsense from the start, and now we’ve got more evidence to prove it.

(See my PS below for more details on why statins are often barking up the wrong tree.)

It’s high time we start looking at health naturally and stop relying on quick fixes that often do more harm than good.

Here’s hoping this new calculator is a step in the right direction.

If you’re currently taking a statin, or your doctor has expressed you should be on one, it’s time to have a frank discussion about whether or not you’re truly a good candidate for the drug.

And another thing…
