Nature’s No. 1 Immune BOOSTER

Dear Reader,

During this COVID-19 crisis, everyone has the same wish: that a vaccine will arrive soon

Well, unfortunately there are a lot of complications that come with creating a vaccine (especially with creating one at top-notch speed)

Some concerns start with the fact that there hasn’t ever been a vaccine for this type of virus (complex viruses are very difficult).

Another thought is that older adults tend not to respond to vaccines in the way that younger people do. So there is the concern that a vaccine wouldn’t be as effective in the population that needs it the most.

These are of course, just things to consider – but the bottom line is: there’s no vaccine right now.

So the best thing you can do is give your immune system some additional support. And there’s no better place than nature to turn for the kind of immune-booster we all need.

I’m talking about turmeric

Curcumin, a natural compound found in the spice turmeric, has been shown in many different research studies to inactivate certain viruses.

A recent study, published in the Journal of General Virology, showed that curcumin can prevent a gastroenteritis virus (stomach virus) from infecting pigs. And at very high doses, curcumin was also found to KILL virus particles.

Other studies support this: curcumin has also shown to inhibit the replication of other viruses. Including dengue virus, hepatitis B and Zika virus.

Does this mean you need to start chowing down on more Indian food to get more curcumin?

Not necessarily. Because the fact is, you probably can’t get enough even if you ate it 24/7. Instead, I definitely suggest supplementing to get enough curcumin

Curcumin is a good start, but there is much more you can do to give your immune system a boost.

Dr. Scott’s Immune System Boosters

  • Eat powerful plants – Garlic, onions, ginger and spices such as oregano and turmeric can give your immune system the support it needs to kill invading bacteria.
  • Make sure you get enough vitamins – Vitamin D, Vitamin K, Vitamin C, Vitamin A all have immune supporting properties.
  • Gut/Immune connection – Maybe you have heard how closely tied your immune system is to your gut. Improve your gut health by taking a probiotic every day.
  • Supercharge your immune system – Certain herbs, such as Goldenseal, echinacea, oregano oil, olive leaf extract, all help to give your immune system the boost it needs to protect your body.
