“Quarantine Period” SKYROCKETING Your Back Pain?!

Dear Reader,

Now you’d think with all the time we’ve spent at home lately, that pains (like back and joint pains, or carpal tunnel syndrome) would all just… disappear.

But the reality is that the exact opposite is true.

In fact, if you struggle with aches and pains and have found yourself at home – especially during the “quarantine period — not doing as much as you used to, you might be suffering even more than you did before…

Here’s what you can do.

When you’re in pain, the first natural thought you probably have is that your body needs to rest, and NOT move.

At first this makes sense because moving around a painful part of your body (especially with something like arthritis or back pain) seems counterintuitive.

But the truth is, moving is one of the BEST ways to get rid of your pain! (There are also other, natural ways to help relieve your pain, that – an added bonus – DON’T involve dangerous drugs. Read more about how you can get natural pain relief here.)

A recent survey found that many American’s aches and pains have increased lately because they are inactive in sitting around more.

People’s biggest complaint?

Back pain.

Almost 50 percent of people in the survey said their back pain increased during quarantine.

The reason for this is simple: activity (walking, swimming, stretching…) decreases pain even though your brain tells you to stop moving around. Studies have shown that exercise works for all types of pain (including arthritis).

Many of us promised ourselves we’d exercise more during isolation…but more often than not that promise has been broken.

If you’re one of them, it’s time to get off your couch and get moving ESPECIALLY if you have aches and pains you want to banish.

Take a walk, stretch, or even try something like yoga. Move your body around just for a few minutes, every hour or so.

If you need some more help from nature, try turmeric, an Epsom salt bath, and make sure you are getting enough essential fatty acids (fish oil).

P.S. Exercise isn’t the only way to find pain relief. And I’m not talking about resorting to dangerous (and often ADDICTIVE) painkillers. Find other natural sources of pain relief, here.
