SHED Pounds with This Cozy Beverage

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

Everyone SWEARS they’ve cracked the code when it comes to losing weight.

The tips range from starving yourself to running ten miles a day to eating only grapefruit during the full moon.

And the thing is, far too often these are just fads that don’t do a thing to erase those stubborn pounds.

Not only that, they can cause lasting damage.

But this cozy beverage not only SHED pounds, it can STOP bloating and gas as well!

The answer is tea.

You probably remember reading about oolong tea’s miraculous weight loss abilities here. But this is different.

Though you’d think America is a coffee country, almost 80 percent of American households have some type of tea in their cupboards.

You may see many different teas when you go to the store, but they all come from the same plant.

Green tea is “young” dried leaves, black tea is fully fermented leaves, and oolong falls in between.

And the good news is, they’re all good for you!

Not only does tea contain caffeine (which can aid weight loss), but it also contains other nutrients called catechins, which BOOST metabolism and dissolve fat.

What’s more? Other research shows that tea shifts bacteria in your microbiome (that collection of good and bad bacteria in your gut) which can also help kick off extra pounds.

You see, people who are overweight have low levels of bacteria called Bacteroidetes and high levels of another bacteria called Firmicutes. But drinking tea balances them out, giving you MORE good bacteria and LESS bad.

Tea also:

  • reduces tooth decay,
  • strengthens your immune system,
  • and helps with constipation, diarrhea, bloating, and other irritable bowel syndrome symptoms.

So put on the kettle and pull that tea out of your cupboards! It’s time to brew a cup tea and sip away the pounds.
