15-Minute Secret Beats Heart Disease & Diabetes

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

No matter what health problem you have, Big Pharma has a pill they’re dying to shove down your throat.

Worried about heart disease? They’ll put you on a statin.

Stroke? How about some blood thinners?

And diabetes? Well, they’ve got dozens of dangerous drugs for that.

But what if you could actually slash your risk of dying from heart disease, stroke, or diabetes, without touching a prescription drug?

Columbia University researchers say it’s possible… and it takes just 15 minutes every morning.

You’ve heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Well, that’s an understatement. Eating breakfast may actually save your life.

After analyzing data from previous studies, researchers found that both meal frequency and timing are heavily linked to increased risk for high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, obesity and insulin sensitivity, a condition that may lead to diabetes.

In fact, the researchers were shocked to find that folks who skip breakfast are 18 percent more likely to have a stroke and 27 percent more likely to suffer from a heart attack.

On the other hand, daily breakfast eaters are less likely to have high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

Scientists believe that meal timing so significantly affects your healthy because it impacts your body’s internal clock. In animals, these types of disruptions can mess up your metabolism and increase weight gain, insulin resistance and even inflammation — the root cause of all disease.

This means all you have to do is decrease your risk of these devastating diseases is eat a healthy breakfast.

And while this study suggests a fruit- and vegetable-heavy diet, another study shows that eating just one egg a day could decrease your risk of having a stroke by 12 percent.

Not to mention eggs are chock-full of high-quality protein, powerful antioxidants and vitamins E, D and A. Some of these compounds help your body naturally fight inflammation and can even decrease oxidative stress.

So if you’re looking for a breakfast that protects your health, all you have to do is whip up a couple of eggs and grab a piece of fruit. This simple, yet satisfying meal will get your day off to a healthy start and keeps these deadly diseases at bay.

Live well,
