Boost Your Odds of Beating Cancer by 70%

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

Getting a colon cancer diagnosis can be absolutely terrifying.

Not only does the disease come with a truckload of uncomfortable and often worthless treatments, but it’s also tough to beat.

In fact, according to the CDC, colon cancer is the third most lethal type of cancer in the U.S.

But it looks like surviving colon cancer just got a lot easier…

You see, scientists from Harvard Medical School have discovered a simple nutrient that can reduce your risk of dying from colon cancer by a whopping 70 percent!

Plus, it requires no nauseating drugs or painful surgeries.

The nutrient is omega-3 fatty acids, like those found in fish.

Researchers discovered this by analyzing the health records of over 170, 000 participants over a 10-year period.

During the study, 1,600 subjects developed colon cancer. However, those who ate foods with higher levels of omega-3s increased their chances of surviving this often fatal disease.

In fact, researchers found that folks who ate 0.3 g or more of omega-3s every day after diagnosis decreased their risk of dying from colon cancer by 41 percent.

Even better, folks who upped their omega-3 intake by at least 0.15 g daily reduced their risk of dying from the disease by an astonishing 70 percent!

A 3-ounce serving of omega-3-rich wild-caught salmon has five times the omega-3 content needed to significantly increase your chances of surviving bowel cancer. This means eating just a fraction of an average serving could help you give you the upper hand against cancer.

Not to mention omega-3s have been shown to do everything from protecting your heart to warding off dementia. So adding omega-3s to your diet is always a great idea!

Can’t do fish?

No problem.

A really convenient way to get concentrated omega-3s without the worry of pollutants is through supplements.

Just be sure to select one that’s been through a purification process called molecular distillation. This removes heavy metals and other toxins to below detectable levels. Plus, you can get a healthy dose of omega-3s without the hassle or stench of preparing fish.

Live well,
