Popular Herb Reverses Alzheimer's?!?

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

It’s no secret that ginseng is good for you.

Over the years, this hardworking herb has been proven to boost your energy, lower your blood sugar and even help tackle cancer and heart disease.

But according to some new research out of China, ginseng has another superpower — it may help you fight the devastating effects of Alzheimer’s.

In fact, ginseng is so powerful scientists believe it may be able to stop the brain damage that can lead to Alzheimer’s in the first place.

For the latest study, the scientists exposed rats who’d been given Alzheimer’s to special proteins found in ginseng.

And what happened next was nothing short of incredible…

Ginseng seemed to protect the rats’ brains from the ravages of Alzheimer’s in three different ways.

Alzheimer’s Protection #1: The ginseng proteins significantly improved the survival rate of neurons and reduced brain cell death rates — both key factors in warding off cognitive decline.

Alzheimer’s Protection #2: Even better, the ginseng proteins reversed the growth of beta-amyloid and tau proteins, which interfere with brain cell communication and are believed to cause Alzheimer’s.

Alzheimer’s Protection #3: When the treated rats were tested in a maze, the ginseng greatly reduced their escape time, which means they had improved cognitive abilities.

Scientists believe ginseng is so good at fighting cognitive issues because it activates something known as the CREB pathway. This pathway is vital for long-term memory and brain cell health.

You can get ginseng in supplement or tea form at natural health stores or through online retailers. Be sure to select Panax ginseng when purchasing. This variety was the focus of this study and others that have shown it can improve cognitive performance.
