Ancient Herb Boosts Memory
Dear Living Well Daily Reader,
Nothing’s more embarrassing than forgetting someone’s name or zoning out when listening to a loved one’s story.
But as the years go by, your memory and attention span can really start to dwindle.
What’s worse, the mainstream offers little help. Those expensive bottles of pills are better used as door stoppers than a memory solution.
You deserve a better way.
And it looks like researchers from India have just found it.
You see, there’s an ancient herb that can help boost your memory and even improve your attention.
And the best part — it’s cheap and easy to get your hands on.
I’m talking about ashwagandha, a powerful herb that’s been revered for thousands of years for its restorative and stress-fighting properties.
More recently, researchers wanted to see how ashwagandha stacked up against memory loss.
For the study, participants who were already suffering from memory loss were split into two groups. Half took 600 mg of ashwagandha a day, and the other half took a placebo for eight weeks.
Before and after the trial, all participants were given a battery of memory tests that evaluated different parts of their memory, like immediate (remembering someone’s name a few seconds after you meet them), long term and working.
Once the results were in, the researchers made some incredible finds…
The ashwagandha group saw a significant boost in their overall and immediate memory.
Even better, they also experienced an increase in attention span, information processing and memory functions.
Experts believe ashwagandha’s anti-stress and anti-anxiety properties could be why it’s so effective at helping your memory, since stress and anxiety can interrupt your normal brain activity.
In short, taking ashwagandha could help you keep your memory and attention running on all cylinders well into your golden years.
You can pick ashwagandha up at natural health retailers or online from vitacost.com. A month’s supply costs about $10.
Live well,
