Military Secret REVERSES Hearing Loss
Dear Living Well Daily Reader,
Hearing loss is one of the toughest parts of aging.
And what’s worse, there’s little you can do to treat it.
Instead, you’re forced to spend your golden years adjusting your hearing aids and constantly being told to “turn that down.”
But you deserve a better way.
Fortunately, U.S. Army researchers are on the verge of a hearing loss breakthrough like no other.
And believe it or not, it involves one of your favorite foods.
I’m talking about cheese!
In the past, it’s been linked to everything from cancer prevention to boosting your bone health.
More recently, researchers have found that cheese also contains a powerful amino called D-methionine that can help you hear a pin drop well into your golden years.
In animal studies, D-methionine has been shown to protect against nerve cell damage in the ear.
In fact, D-methionine is so powerful that one study found it could even REVERSE hearing loss seven hours after loud noise exposure.
Because of its incredible ear-protective powers, the U.S. Army is now testing it on recruits after noisy, ear-damaging weapons training.
Experts believe D-methionine could be the secret weapon against hearing loss because it can neutralize the free radicals produced by loud noise.
The clinical trials are currently in Phase 3 and will be completed at the end of this year. I will keep you updated on the results.
D-methionine isn’t available in supplement form yet, but you can get a small dose of this ear-booster through foods like cheese and yogurt.
In the meantime, you can give alpha-lipoic acid a try. One study shows that taking 600 mg of alpha-lipoic acid can help shield your ears from loud noises.
You can get alpha-lipoic acid from your local pharmacy or through online retailers like vitacost.com.
Live well,
