Miracle Food SHUTS OFF Arthritis Pain
Dear Living Well Daily Reader,
Summer is here… and nothing’s better than taking a walk or working in your garden on these sunny days.
But if you’re suffering from the aches and pains of arthritis, you may be forced to spend your summer days indoors.
Fortunately, it looks like it doesn’t have to be this way any longer…
Because researchers have found that eating just two servings of fish a week can SHUT OFF your arthritis pain.
And it should come as no surprise.
For years, scientists have known that fish oil supplements can improve arthritis symptoms because they contain omega-3 fatty acids.
In this most recent study, published in the Arthritis Care & Research, a team of researchers carefully reviewed the dietary records and disease activity of 176 folks with rheumatoid arthritis.
And what they found was incredible… folks who ate two or more servings of omega-3-rich fish like tuna, salmon and sardines saw a significant reduction in joint pain and swelling.
It’s as if eating the fish shut off the pain in those stiff, achy joints!
But there’s no reason to stop at two.
After taking a closer look, the researchers found that each serving of fish a week could help decrease your arthritis symptoms. So the more you eat, the better your joints could feel!
Experts have little doubt that the omega-3 fatty acids are the reason that eating fish is so effective on arthritis pain, because they combat inflammation.
Due to this, the study focused only on fatty fish that were baked, broiled, steamed or eaten raw. They excluded shellfish and fried fish because these foods are lower in omega-3s.
If diving into a platter of broiled tuna or baked salmon doesn’t appeal to your palette, you can always take an omega-3 supplement. Just be sure to choose one that’s been molecularly distilled, so it has the least amount of toxins.
Live well,
