Drink THIS To Stop Diabetes & Memory Loss

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

It’s no secret that what we eat and drink can really mess with our health.

And in a world full of cookies n’ cream Frappuccinos and fried-chicken-flavored potato chips, it seems like just about everything can put us on a collision course with health problems like diabetes and even memory loss.

But now researchers have just discovered a delicious drink that can help shield your body from the damage that all this modern processed food is causing.

Better still? It can even help you lose weight.

Green tea is the wonder drink I’m talking about and folks have been using it for thousands of years to boost their metabolism and keep their minds razor sharp.

And there is one specific molecule, called Epigallocatechin-3-gallata or EGCG, that is the driving force behind green tea’s health powers.

In fact, this latest study shows that EGCG can even protect you from the heath-wrecking, sugar-laden, obesity and dementia-causing Western diet.

For the experiment, researchers split mice into three groups. One was fed a standard diet, one was fed a high-sugar Western diet and the last one was fed the Western diet and EGCG.

After just 16 weeks, the mice eating the Western diet with the EGCG had lower body weights than the standard diet and the Western diet.

This means that the EGCG kept the mice from gaining weight even though they had a more fattening diet than those in the standard group. Keeping weight off is key to preventing diabetes, heart and memory problems.

Even better, the EGCG group performed better on memory tests.

When you look at these results as a whole, it’s clear that this wonder compound can help prevent obesity and the memory loss and learning issues linked to the Western diet.

Experts report that EGCG is so good at counteracting the damage done by poor diet because of its anti-inflammatory properties.

But this doesn’t mean you can gorge on burgers, fries and milkshakes for every meal without consequences. Your best bet is to avoid these processed foods and give your health an edge with EGCG.

Luckily, all you have to do is drink more tasty green tea to get more EGCG in your diet.

Or you can find EGCG supplements at your local pharmacy or vitamin retailer. Other studies suggest taking at least 270 mg daily if you want to lose weight and fight diabetes and memory problems.

Live well,
