Shameful! Big Pharma BULLYING Seniors into Statins

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

It’s been Big Pharma’s unofficial motto for years – if you can’t convince ‘em, try to terrify ‘em instead.

We know now that cholesterol-lowering statins are absolute POISON for your body… they can cause everything from muscle damage to diabetes.

Now, a recent study in the Annals of Internal Medicine is claiming that stopping statins could cause everything from heart attacks to strokes.

The only problem? It’s all nonsense and propaganda meant to bully you into taking dangerous drugs.

And it’s based on a MAJOR misunderstanding of cholesterol that could be a disaster for your health.

The side effects of statins are like something out of a horror movie. I’m talking about:

  • Muscle pain
  • Muscle damage
  • Liver damage
  • Poor blood sugar control
  • Nerve pain

And the list goes on!

Somewhere between 1/3 (as found in this study) to 1/2 of people taking these drugs stop them because of the side effects. And the real number may be higher, because the reporting is so bad.

Now, of course, mainstream medical researchers want you to believe that swearing off statins could be a death sentence.

Really? How could stopping something you don’t need to do POSSIBLY kill you?

Statin drugs are senseless because they are used to treat something that doesn’t need to be treated: high cholesterol.

It surprises most people to learn that our fear of cholesterol came about because of political reasons and not because of scientific reasons.

See what happens when you allow politicians to determine health care?

Here is what we know about high cholesterol from REAL scientific studies:

A low-fat diet (suggested to lower cholesterol) will increase blood sugar, heart disease, and cancer.

It is clear from real scientific studies that fearing cholesterol can be dangerous for your life.

A recent study in the British Medical Journal (70,000 participants) found that there was no link between “bad” LDL cholesterol levels and death from heart disease.

They found that people over the age of 60 with high LDL actually lived longer and had less incidence of heart disease than people with lower LDL cholesterol levels.

What nobody tells you is that your body needs cholesterol – it is important for normal cell function, hormone production, and many other essential functions throughout our bodies.

It is time to stop the insanity and put an end to our fears of cholesterol. That’ll be bad news for Big Pharma’s bottom line… but much better for your health.

Health and Happiness,

Scott Olson
