The 2-Second Cancer Test (You Can Do It Right Now)

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

We’ve all been told the same lie about cancer for years.

It goes something like this:

“You are either going to get it, or not. There is nothing you can do about it.”

Nonsense.

It turns out that there are lots of risk factors for cancer that are completely within our control.

In fact, I’m going to show you a simple way to determine whether you might be 30 percent more likely to develop cancer.

And it only takes two seconds.

Just take a look down at that good ol’ belly button.

Because if you’re carrying around a lot of excess belly fat, you may be putting yourself on the fast path to cancer.

Scientists used to largely ignore fat.

But, boy have times changed!

We now know that body fat secretes all sorts of chemicals, most of which are bad news for our health).

And fats secrete different chemicals based on where they’re located in our bodies.

The worst kind of fat to have? Belly fat.

The Prospective Epidemiologic Risk Factor Study looked at 5,855 women and where they carried fat. Researchers followed them for 12 years to see which diseases they might get.

The women in the study who had the most belly fat had a 30 percent greater risk of breast, ovarian, lung, and GI cancers.

That is a huge increase in risk!

Belly fat is also associated with insulin resistance and the release of a chemical called fibroblast growth factor-2 (FGF2). Scientists think that FGF2 stimulates certain vulnerable cells causing them to grow into tumors more easily.

Belly fat is famous for being hard to rid of, but you can do it with the right plan.

Dr. Scott’s Plan to Destroy Belly Fat:

  • Blood sugar is one of the biggest factors in belly fat storage. Control your blood sugar by limiting sugars and other carbohydrates. You can also help your body control blood sugar by using the mineral chromium, and the herbs berberine, garcinia and sphaeranthus.
  • Protein, especially good quality proteins (such as beef, fish, chicken…) are great ways to balance blood sugar.
  • Alcohol also promotes belly fat. Yes, a beer belly can be caused by beer. Reduce or eliminate alcohol form your diet as much as possible.
  • Exercise is a great way to build muscle – which helps to burn calories and balance blood sugar.

Belly fat is the type of fat most people hate – and with good reason. You know when you look down at your belly that you are harming yourself.

Take steps today to make your belly fat a thing of your past.

Health and Happiness,

Scott Olson
