The Forgotten Secret to PERFECT Gut Health

There used to be a time when doctors barely paid attention to gut health.

Boy, have things changed.

We know now that health problems like diabetes, Alzheimer’s, arthritis, obesity, and, of course, irritable bowel syndrome, all start in our guts.

You’ve probably heard before that you should be taking a daily probiotic to keep your gut bacteria (your microbiome) healthy and happy.

But there’s another powerful supplement proven to help both our digestion and our gut bacteria.

And if you’re not taking it, you’ll want to start… today.

A group of scientists from the School of Medicine at Nottingham in England found that people who took Omega-3 Fatty Acids (fish oils) were more likely to have a more diverse and healthier microbiome than people who don’t supplement.

Omega-3 fatty acids support a healthy bacteria community in your digestive tract.

The scientists discovered this because they found a chemical called N-carbamylglutamate (NCG) increased in people who were supplementing with fish oil.

NCG has been shown to help improve intestinal cell growth, improve the health of the microbiome, and it works as a powerful antioxidant.

If you are not taking fish oils, then you should start now. Fish oils have been shown to be great for your heart, your brain, your skin and (now) good for our digestive health.

But let’s give fish oil some help and support great digestion.

Dr. Scott’s Healthy Gut Protocol:

  • Take Those Fish Oils: I usually recommend one to three grams a day of a good fish oil.
  • Increase Probiotics: You can support a healthy microbial community in your gut by taking a probiotic and eating fermented foods.
  • Remove these “Anti-Foods”: Processed foods, sugars, and trans fatty acids. All of these non-foods cause problems for your digestive tract.
  • Eat Plenty of Fiber: Fiber is not only good for regularity, but it also serves as food for the microorganisms in our guts.

Health and Happiness,
