[Warning] FDA Puts MILLIONS of Seniors at Risk
This may be one of the most idiotic things our government has ever done.
And, boy, that’s saying something.
So many people are being killed by opioid painkiller drugs that it’s become a national epidemic. And seniors are especially at risk.
So what did the FDA just approve to help people get off opioids?
ANOTHER opioid drug.
This scheme is just as stupid as it sounds. And it could put you and the people you love in danger.
The newly approved drug for helping with opioid withdrawal is called buprenorphine.
And like I said, It’s an opioid.
Now, you don’t need to be a science wizard to figure out that the idea of treating an opioid problem with another opioid is crazy.
The FDA based their decision on two successful studies of over 800 patients, where they found that patients who were taking an opioid were able to drop that drug for buprenorphine.
Yeah, that’s a little like saying you can drop heroin for crystal meth.
So what?
The FDA is somehow blinded by the drug company’s reassurances that buprenorphine is not habit forming even though that’s the same line the drug companies used when they pushed their opioid pain killers (like hydrocodone, oxycodone, and fentanyl) to doctors.
And, of course, when you search for side effects for buprenorphine, here is what you find:
“High risk for addiction and dependence. Can cause respiratory distress and death when taken in high doses or when combined with other substances, especially alcohol.”
Hmm. That sounds very familiar. Exactly the same warnings that come with every other opioid.
Drug overdoses—mainly from opioid drugs such as hydrocodone, oxycodone, and fentanyl—rose almost 20% in the US in 2016.
Meanwhile, drug company profits continue to climb. It’s disgusting.
The best advice I can give you is to stay away from opioid pain killers.
Never take opioid pain killers unless you absolutely must; and if you use them, get of them as quickly as possible.
You can also look for natural alternatives like curcumin, which controls the inflammation that leads to chronic pain. Fish oil and Boswellia also work great.
It takes work, but you can stay away from the FDA drug addiction gauntlet–if you keep your smarts about you.
