The Tiny Secret to Beating Colon Cancer
In 2011, Dr. Matthew Meyerson made a discovery that should have changed how we treat colon cancer forever.
And I say “should have”… because the mainstream medical establishment practically ignored him.
You see, Dr. Meyerson stared into his microscope and couldn’t believe what he was seeing. A bacterium, normally found in the mouth, was (somehow) inside a sample of colon cancer.
He checked another sample, and there it was: the same bacterium.
Dr. Meyerson found that bacteria are playing a huge role in your colon cancer.
And that’s not just scientifically interesting… it points us to a simple plan you can use to finally beat your colon cancer for good.
The studies by Dr. Meyerson found that the bacterium (Fusobacterium nucleatum) could be found in about 50 to 70 percent of all colon cancers.
Even stranger? If scientists moved the cancer to another body (say, a mouse), then the bacteria came along with it.
Somehow the bacteria and the cancer were working together.
As a next step, they killed the bacteria with a strong antibiotic and found that the cancer grew slower – meaning that the bacteria somehow helps the cancer grow.
So, what can Dr. Meyerson’s study tell us?
Should you take antibiotics and just kill all the bacteria in your body?
No. The best way to fight colon cancer is to support the good bacteria in your gut.
Let me show you how.
Dr. Scott’s Gut Health Program:
- Probiotics are your easiest path to a healthy digestive system. I prefer a probiotic product that contain a fiber prebiotic along with good bacteria (probiotics).
- Eat enough fiber to, not only help with regular bowel movements, but to also help stimulate healthy bacterial growth. I always suggest that people take both water soluble and water insoluble fiber. One of my favorite fibers is ground flax seeds.
- Throw away junk food, trans fats, processed, and chemical foods. All processed foods, trans fatty acids, artificial sweeteners, and alcohol harm your gut bacteria. Do what you can to limit these non-foods in your diet.
- Exercise doesn’t seem like the first place you would turn to help your digestive tract, but it has been shown to help encourage a healthy microbiome.
Your gut health is more important than we ever realized and, now, it may be our key to a long, healthy, and cancer-free life.
