Weird Drink Helps TORCH Fat
When we were younger, didn’t it seem like EVERYONE was drinking tea?
Mom always had the kettle going… and when someone came to visit, the first thing you did was offer them tea.
And I’ll tell you something else – people were a lot thinner back then.
That’s no accident.
Research is proving that drinking tea may be the secret to melting away your extra weight.
Here’s everything you need to know…
Researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) recently published a study in the European Journal of Nutrition.
The researchers found that green tea and black tea definitely help us lose weight.
You see, the polyphenols in tea actually alter our gut bacteria… in a good way.
If you have the right bacteria (probiotics) in your gut and you feed them right, they can help change how much fat you carry around.
When you drink green or black tea, it decreases certain bacteria populations and increases others. Basically, this means that green and black tea decreased the percentage of microorganisms associated with obesity, while increasing gut bacteria associated with lean body mass.
Perfect combination!
So, the best strategy for weight loss is to take care of your gut. Here are some more things you can do.
Dr. Scott’s Gut Health Program:
- Probiotics are your easiest path to a healthy digestive system. I prefer a probiotic product that also contains a fiber prebiotic.
- Eat enough fiber to help with regular bowel movements, but to also help stimulate healthy bacterial growth. I always suggest that people take both water soluble and water insoluble fiber. One of my favorite fibers is ground flax seeds.
- Throw away junk food, trans fats, processed, and chemical foods. All processed foods, trans fatty acids, artificial sweeteners, and alcohol harm your healthy gut bacteria. Do what you can to limit these non-foods in your diet.
- Exercise doesn’t seem like the first place you would turn to help your digestive tract, but it has been shown to help encourage the growth of healthy gut bacteria.
