Do YOU Have These Diabetes Warning Signs?
They call diabetes the hidden disease.
That’s because you can live with it for YEARS without ever knowing it.
In fact, MILLIONS of Americans are unknowingly living with diabetes or prediabetes right now.
How do you know if you’re one of them?
Here are some warning signs to look for – so you can take action before it’s too late.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, over 100 million adults have prediabetes or diabetes.
This is bad news, because uncontrolled blood sugar destroys your body.
High blood sugar leads to blindness, kidney failure, heart disease, stroke, cancers, and dementia.
Studies show that people with diabetes (even those on medications) lose around 10 to 12 years from their lives.
You can stop this from happening by getting a yearly blood test and by looking out for these early warning signs:
-
Increased Thirst: High sugar in the blood increases thirst because your body is trying to get rid of the sugar through your urine as fast as possible.
-
Frequent urination: Because of increased thirst and dumping sugar in the urine, your body needs more trips to the bathroom.
-
Increased Hunger: While this doesn’t make much sense, blood sugar problems come with increased hunger.
-
Unexplained weight loss: Many people gain weight with diabetes, but losing weight is common as well.
-
Frequent infections: More infections result from sugar being a good growing medium for bacteria.
To fight diabetes, follow this plan.
Dr. Scott’s Balanced Blood Sugar Approach:
-
Eat well: This means avoiding processed foods, eating good proteins, and eating as many veggies as you can. Stay away from sugar, grains, and starchy vegetables. If you eat sugar, then do it near a meal (this slows down the absorption of sugar).
-
Exercise: Don’t feel you must run a marathon to be in shape, but walking, golfing, and tennis can all help your body deal with sugar more effectively.
-
Inflammation: Buy some cheap health insurance by taking supplements that keep your inflammation low: I like fish oil, curcumin, and Boswellia.
-
Berberine: This herbal extract is great for the brain and helps to control blood sugar.
-
Chromium: This mineral is also well-known for helping to manage blood sugar.
