NEVER Count a Calorie Again (Here’s Why)
I’ve treated a lot of people over the years who were looking to lose weight.
And they all had ONE thing in common.
Every single one of them was counting calories.
We’ve been told for years that it’s an easy way to shed pounds.
The only problem? It doesn’t work.
It’s time to face facts – all calories are NOT created equal.
And trying to count them is a HUGE (and frustrating) waste of time.
If you REALLY want to lose weight, it’s time to ditch the calorie-counting – and to start looking at food a whole new way.
The first thing you need to know is what a calorie represents.
We’ve been told that calories are the amount of energy that is stored in the food we eat — and, basically, that is correct.
But it’s not the whole story.
A calorimeter is a scientific tool used to measure calories.
Scientists place food in the calorimeter and then burn that food. Then they measure the amount of energy it took to change that food from its original state to ash.
Scientists will tell you that a calorimeter is a good substitution for what happens in the body.
Don’t believe it.
You are a living being and not some laboratory tool.
Something happens when you consume carbohydrates which is different from what happens when you eat proteins or fats… regardless of calories.
Some foods, like carbs, force your body to store fat – and proteins, for example, don’t.
All of that happens regardless of calorie count.
If I were to put you on an all-protein or all-fat diet, you would actually lose weight.
No matter how many calories you ate.
Believe me, calorie counting is meaningless and not helpful if you want to lose weight.
Here’s what really works.
