NEVER Get These 6 DANGEROUS Procedures
It’s no secret – all conventional medical treatments come with complications.
And for many of these “minor” procedures, your mainstream doc assures you that they are entirely harmless.
But I’m here to tell you that they’re NOT!
You should always think twice before you do anything to your body, no matter what your doc tells you.
Because it’s these “easy” and “common” procedures that can cause the MOST DAMAGE… and could even cost you your LIFE.
Let me show you.
Many times, mainstream docs prescribe risky medical procedures out of habit… or just to have something to offer their patients.
But the problem is: There’s almost ZERO evidence to show that these treatments are effective… or SAFE.
Here are SIX common procedures that I tell my patients to AVOID:
#1 Steroid Injections
Epidural steroid injections for back pain are fairly common. These are sold to people who have back pain (or even leg pain like sciatica). Research shows these injections have done nothing to reduce the number of back surgeries and are only about 20 percent effective – the same number which responds to placebo.
#2 Back Surgery
Surgery for back pain is also not very effective. A study out of Sweden found many surgeons are using unnecessary complicated procedures (when simpler and safer operations work fine). The study found that outcomes were the same whether they did a simple surgery or a complicated surgery. Even worse? Some of these operations can limit your mobility… and leave you in MORE pain.
#3 CT or “Cat Scan”
Studies have shown that the radiation from CT scans could be responsible for as many as 2% of all cancers in the United States. CT scans have increased 10% per year since 1980, and it exposes you to as much radiation as two hundred X-Rays.
#4 Antibiotics
If you have a bad cold and you go to the doctor, chances are you will walk out of the door with antibiotics. The problem with this is that colds and flu are viruses and antibiotics do not help them. Studies, for example, show that about 95% of sinus infections are viruses. The Centers for Disease Control estimates that one third to one-half of all antibiotics prescribed are not necessary. Doctors end up giving them to the patient to help keep them satisfied. But these drugs can set you up for WORSE infections… and sometimes they are DEADLY.
#5 Stents
There are emergencies were putting in a cardiac stent to open a person’s clogged artery can save their lives. But a new study suggests as many as 10 to 20% of these are inappropriate. Studies suggest a much more conservative approach helps people better and I would say changing your diet and taking a good supplement is a much better way to go.
#6 Prostate Cancer Screening and Surgery
Leaving prostate cancer alone is the way to go, especially if you’re older. Prostate cancer is slow growing, and most men won’t die from it. So there is no need to risk biopsies or surgeries.
