NEVER Eat These 6 Foods! (Men Only)

If you’re a man over 50, you probably already know how important testosterone is to your health.

Having a normal level of this hormone protects your muscles and bones from the ravages of aging and it also boosts your abilities in the bedroom.

Unfortunately, as you get older your levels naturally start to dip… and so does your energy, libido, andmobility.

But now we know that age isn’t the only culprit behind your low T.

Because science shows that six common foods can WIPE OUT your testosterone, too.

Here’s what you need to know.

We all know that what we eat can greatly impact our health.

And when it comes to testosterone, the same rules apply.

So, if you’re trying to maintain a healthy T level, start avoiding these six foods today:

  1. Soy

Soy high in phytoestrogens – plant -based molecules that mimic the female hormone estrogen. Studies have shown that men consuming high amounts of soy can drop testosterone levels. But avoiding soy isn’t that easy. It’s in almost all processed and packaged foods. So, giving these up is a great way to reduce your soy intake.

  1. Licorice

People either love licorice or hate it. But if you are one of the people who loveit, you may want to find another snack. In a study with men who consumed seven grams of licorice a day, the saw a 26 percent drop in testosterone levels.

  1. Vegetable oil

I’ve mentioned quite frequently how you should stay away from vegetable oils because they are proinflammatory and cause many problems in your body. But vegetable oils are also hard on your testosterone levels. One study found that frequently consuming polyunsaturated fats from vegetable oil was associated with significantly lower testosterone levels.

  1. Flaxseed

Flaxseed is one of my favorite fibers. That’s because it contains helpful nutrients called lignans and essential fatty acids. But for men, flaxseed may not be a good idea. In one small study, 25 men with prostate cancer were supplemented with flaxseed found it significantly increased testosterone levels.

  1. Processed foods

Trans fats, an unhealthy type of fat, has been linked to an increased risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and inflammation. A study of over 200 men showed that those who consume the highest amount of trans fat had a 15 percent lower level of testosterone.

  1. Alcohol

Studies show that consuming 30 to 40 grams of alcohol per day (about 2 or 3 standard drinks) decreases testosterone levels by 7 percent.
