Do You Have THESE Diabetes Warning Signs?
There are some diseases that hit you light lightning.
One day you are fine and then… WHAM! The next day you are sick and miserable.
But there are many diseases take a long time to fully set in.
Diabetes is one of those diseases. And it even gives you plenty of warning signs.
But you can’t rely on your mainstream doctor to spot them. You’ve got to do it yourself.
Let me show you exactly what to look for.
Diabetes is like the Freddy Krueger of your health – a real nightmare.
Once you have diabetes, up goes your risk of heart disease, dementia, cancers, kidney disease, and blindness – even if you take drugs that keep your blood sugar steady.
And those diseases will certainly shorten your life – so much so, that a diabetes diagnosis will knock 8-10 years off your life expectancy.
Fortunately, a new study brings hope.
Research suggests the earliest warning signs of type 2 diabetes can appear YEARS before you’re diagnosed – giving you plenty of time to set your ship straight.
According to the study, which was presented at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes, you can know if you are going to get diabetes a good 20 years before it strikes.
In fact, the researchers were shocked to learn just how early they could predict who would get diabetes.
Their 20-year study, involving more than 27,392 people, found that high blood sugar and insulin resistance can be seen decades before the person is eventually diagnosed with a condition.
Here are the numbers that suggest you might be headed towards diabetes:
- A fasting blood sugar level over 101.5mg/dL
- A Body Mass Index (BMI) over 24 kg/m2
What the research showed was a steady loss of blood sugar control, so the lower the fasting blood sugar, the better.
I generally recommend under 90 mg/dL.
Here is how you can get your blood sugar under control:
Dr. Scott’s Beat Diabetes Protocol:
- Eat well: This means avoiding processed foods, eating good proteins, and as many veggies as you can. Staying away from sugar, grains, and starchy vegetables also helps. If you are going to eat sugar, then do it near a meal (this slows down the absorption of sugar).
- Exercise: Don’t feel that you have to run a marathon to be in shape, but walking, golfing, or a game of tennis can all help your body deal with sugar more effectively.
- Inflammation: Buy some cheap health insurance by taking supplements that keep your inflammation low: I like fish oil, curcumin, and Boswellia.
