Hospital Threat KILLING Seniors
If you’ve ever been to a hospital, you already know how dirty it is.
But the grimy floors and the filthy waiting rooms are the least of your troubles.
Because the real danger lies in the nasty things you CAN’T see.
I’m talking about antibiotic-resistant bacteria or “superbugs”.
These tiny bugs cause countless hospital-born infections… and kill nearly one a million people every year, many of them seniors.
And according to a new study, it’s only going to get worse.
Because one of the very things that’s supposed to keep you safe from these deadly bacteria HAS STOPPED WORKING.
In a new study, published in Science Translational Medicine, researchers looked at bacteria development in two Australian hospitals between 1997 and 2015.
At the end, they found that dangerous bacteria are becoming resistant to alcohol.
While this may seem like no big deal, it is actually a huge problem.
Alcohol is the go-to sanitizer for cleaning medical equipment, patient rooms, and even the hands of the doctors, nurses, and aids that care for you.
According to the research, the overuse of hand sanitizers has led to this alarming situation. And just like the overuse of antibiotics, the over-use of alcohol is creating superbugs.
And this is leading to more infections in hospitals… and ending the lives of more and more seniors.
So, the best way to protect yourself is to stay out of the hospital and make your immune system as strong as possible.
Dr. Scott’s Immune Boosting Program:
- Eat Well: I like to include lots of garlic and onions in my food to boost my immune system. Onions and garlic have long been used for their anti-bacterial properties and are a tasty addition to any meal (especially soups).
- Vitamin D: Starting in November, I start taking 3,000-5,000 IUs of Vitamin D every day. Even though I still get outside in winter, my body needs more Vitamin D to keep my immune system healthy.
- Berberine, Turmeric, and Olive leaf: These herbs help to give your immune system the boost it needs to kill dangerous bacteria.
- Probiotic/Polyphenols: There is a ton of research on probiotics and immunity. I take my probiotic in a super-food blend so that I get both gut health and the added antioxidant power of plant foods.
