Nuts are so good for your heart because they contain minerals, protein, fiber, vitamins and other compounds that help lower the type of inflammation linked to heart disease.
In this study, the participants ate walnuts, almonds, pistachios, hazelnuts, and seeds.
But other research shows that any tree nut should do the trick.
