The 2-Food CURE for Lung Cancer
Lung cancer is on the rise here in America.
Every 2 minutes another one of us is diagnosed with this life-changing disease.
According to experts, it looks like these numbers are only going to get worse.
But there’s a way to STOP lung cancer before it starts.
And it has nothing to do with smoking.
Sure, folks who smoked or worked around chemicals have a higher risk of developing lung issues.
But other things impact your risk.
And it looks like what you eat could be a major factor when it comes to who gets lung cancer… and who doesn’t.
In a global study of 1.5 million adults, researchers discovered that consuming more yogurt and fiber protected against lung cancer development.
Imagine that!
It only takes about three ounces per day of yogurt to have an almost 20 percent lower risk of lung cancer. And people who had the highest intake of fiber had a 17 percent reduced lung cancer.
Even better? Folks with the highest yogurt and fiber intakes SLASHED their lung cancer risk by a WHOPPING 33%.
But how can this work? Your gut has nothing to do with your lungs, right?
It all comes down to your microbiome – that collection of bacteria, fungi, and viruses that help us digest food and regulate processes in our bodies.
We’ve long known that increasing fiber and eating probiotics (like yogurt) reduces the risk of colon cancer.
And that’s because fiber and probiotics found in yogurt work together. The bacteria need fiber to survive and do their job.
The researchers in this study pointed to the microbiome’s ability to inhibit lung metastasis through the immune system.
You see, a healthy microbiome leads to better white blood cells, like natural killer cells – which have direct anti-tumor and anti-inflammatory activities.
So what are you waiting for? Load up on yogurt and fiber-rich foods, fruits, vegetables, and whole grains to stay lung cancer free!
