The Cholesterol Fact You NEED to Know

Mainstream medicine and the mainstream media want you to believe that cholesterol is the worst thing for your health.

But that’s simply NOT true.

In factevery single cell in your body needs cholesterol. This is especially true for your brain – which is 25 percent cholesterol.

And there’s not a shred of evidence that high cholesterol harms you or cholesterol-lowering drugs do anything good for your health.

But this doesn’t mean that cholesterol tests are completely worthless

Because having more of a certain type of this fat could be GOOD for your health.

Here’s the fact you NEED to know…

Most of what you hear about cholesterol is a type called low-density lipoproteins or LDL.

Forget about LDLs.

High-density lipoproteins or HDL so-called “good cholesterol” is what you should pay attention to.

A new study, published in the journal Circulation, shows that increasing your HDL levels can help reduce blocked arteries (atherosclerosis).

Here is why.

HDL helps move cholesterol out of your cells (and that includes the cholesterol stacking up and creating plaques in the veins and arteries around your heart).

This means raising good cholesterol helps change reduce cholesterol buildup in your heart and the rest of your body.

Most drug treatments work by lowering LDL (or bad cholesterol) which the researchers found did not affect cholesterol buildup.

The researchers in this study increased HDL by genetically modifying mice or by injecting a protein called apolipoprotein A-I (apoA-I) into their bodies.

I’m guessing that you don’t want to be genetically modified or have some strange protein injected in youso let me tell you the better way to increase your HDL

A low carb diet is your best bet to raising your HDL’s. Avoiding sugars and foods that act like sugars is the best way to change your HDL number for the better.

You can also increase your exercise, eat some fish, and use olive oil and you’re well on your way to great HDL numbers and better health.
