THIS Diet Fix Makes You Sleep Like A Baby! (EASY)

At my practice, I get more questions about sleep than almost anything else.

My patients tell me that they’ve tried everything from prayer to deep breathing to taking dangerous over-the-counter medications.

And NONE of them work!

Fortunately, there’s something that does.  

All you have to do is to cut dangerous one thing out of your diet.

A new study, published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, found that older women who eat lots of sweets and white bread are more likely to have insomnia.

The scientists used something called the Glycemic Index – which is a measure of how much a food raises your blood sugar. Some foods are low-glycemic and keep your blood sugar low, and some – like the carbohydrates listed above –  are high glycemic and they cause your blood sugar to spike.

The people who at the highest glycemic foods had the worst insomnia.

But why is this – what’s special about carbohydrates?

It works like this:

High blood sugar harms your body over the long term. These surges increase oxidation and inflammation – which harms your brain, heart, skin, eyes, blood vessels, and kidneys.

And when your blood sugar is raised too quickly – like it is after a high-carb meal or snack – your body quickly releases insulin. This hormone then drops your blood sugar and releases certain hormones that can interfere with your sleep.

This means insomnia is often a sign of bad blood sugar control.

So, how do you stop it?

Easy. Cut your carb intake!  

Making this one simple change can help get your blood sugar – and sleep – back on track.

If you need a little extra help, turn to berberine, curcumin, and chromium to help.

And try melatonin and other herbs (hops, chamomile, passionflower) if you need a little more help sleeping.
