Make Your Immune System YOUNG Again?!

Dear Reader,

So, chances are you’re one of the thousands of people still stuck at home and can’t leave.

Because of the coronavirus most of us have lost access to gyms, exercise buddy, or church.

Your biggest adventure is probably the grocery store.

I know we are all getting a little stir crazy. But, virus protection is the most important thing right now.

But just because you’ve been ordered to stay at home doesn’t mean you should stop exercising.

Let me explain why it’s important to keep moving around.

Just because the entire world is shut down doesn’t mean you should be.

That’s because exercise plays two key roles in your body.

And a new study, published by the Journal Exercise Immunology Review, discovered one of those reasons: exercise is ESSENTIAL for your body’s immune function.

The study found that exercise can help the immune system find and deal with pathogens (one of its key functions – and especially helpful in this time of virus).

What this and other studies have shown is that long-term, regular exercise slows down the changes that happen to your immune systems as you age.

Read that again: exercise is anti-aging for our immune system!

In a global study review of infections, scientists found that infections are more common when people have an inadequate diet, are under psychological stress, don’t get enough sleep, or are traveling too much.

Exercise can help with many of those problems: people who exercise tend to eat better, they are less stressed, and they sleep better.

Which is why it’s extremely important to stay active and healthy during these trying times.

So, how do you do it?

You can still get outside. Just keep your distance from others. Walking, jogging, cycling, can all be done close to your home and away from people

If you’re in a city or other crowded location, you can create an at-home routine using weights or your own body (think pushups, sit-ups…).

There are also a variety of things you can find online or on TV which help you exercise: like yoga, boxing.

Also, you are not too old to try video games – which are fun and even competitive.
