SHIELD Yourself from Future Viruses (Pandemic or Not)

Dear Reader,

COVID-19 took the world by storm. Now, (hopefully) it is starting to calm down.

Despite that, I still get questions about what works (and what doesn’t) for stopping this infection… and others.

And that is a great question.

Because I can guarantee you COVID-19 or something like it will be back.

I don’t say that to scare you, but I want you to be prepared so you can keep yourself and your family, safe.

Luckily, nature has many ways to support your immune system. Because let’s face it, in times like these keeping your body strong will be your best defense.

Let’s take a look.

Your best bet for supporting your health in the time of COVID-19 (or any other infection) is to start with building your health.

Sounds pretty basic, I know. But it couldn’t be more true.

Improving your health will not only help you keep from getting an infection, it will help you even if you DO catch the bug.

You’ve probably already heard that 50 percent or more of people who died with COVID-19 already had chronic illnesses.

These ranged from diabetes, to heart disease, high blood pressure, asthma, or immune system problems.

Many of those conditions have natural treatments. So, if you have a chronic condition, start today to support your health more.

There are also ways to naturally boost your immune system:

  • Eat Immune Boosting Foods: I like to include lots of garlic and onions in my food during flu season. Garlic, onions, ginger and spices such as oregano and turmeric can give your immune system the support it needs to kill invaders.
  • Vitamin D: Take 3,000-5,000 IUs of vitamin D every day.
  • Herbs: Berberine, Turmeric, and olive leaf help to give your immune system the boost it needs. Goldenseal, echinacea, oregano oil, olive leaf extract, all chip n to strengthen your immune system and protect your body.
  • Probiotics: There is a ton of research on probiotics boosting immunity. That’s because most of your immune system is in your gut.
  • Plant Nutrients: I take a super-food blend this time of year, so I get the added antioxidant power of plant foods.
  • Other Vitamins:  Vitamin K, Vitamin C, Vitamin A and the B Vitamins all have immune supporting properties.

If you can take advantage of a steam-room or sauna – then do it. Not only does sweating help with detoxification and shortening colds, it also allows you a chance to relax and take time off.

P.S. Herbal and natural treatments are helpful and good for your body’s defense against viruses (beyond even COVID-19). But you should still always seek professional advice/healthcare if you think you have the coronavirus.
