Can CBD DESTROY This Fatal Brain Disease?

Dear Reader,

Recently, marijuana and extracts of marijuana (like CBD) have snagged the attention of the medical community. Its popularity has spread like wildfire, and rightfully so given its powerful effects on many body systems.

In fact, the marijuana plant may be the exact solution our bodies need for several conditions ranging from pain, to sleeplessness, to anxiety… and much more.

But marijuana has other uses too.

The results from an early study using hemp in lung cancer have caused researchers to sit up and take notice…

Turns out, CBD performs just as well as toxic chemotherapy (without the nasty side effects).

And it doesn’t stop there…

Before we get to that – let’s go over some basic groundwork.

I’m betting at this point you’ve probably heard of cannabidiol or CBD. But in case you haven’t, CBD is the powerful non-psychoactive molecule found in marijuana which has found its way into everything from pills, to snacks, drinks, and lotions the last few years.

Even the we-never-approve-anything-natural FDA has recently approved one cannabis-derived and three cannabis-related drug products for epilepsy, nerve pain, spasticity associated with multiple sclerosis, and chemotherapy-induced nausea.

These approved drugs are not the same as natural CBD. But they show that many compounds in marijuana are beneficial to our health.

So what about a disease like cancer?

A recent study from researchers at Colorado State University, published in the FASEB Journal, found that CPB can help with brain cancer.

The researchers found that CBD may be an effective treatment against a particularly aggressive and hard to treat type of brain cancer called glioblastoma

Glioblastoma is incredibly difficult to treat– I’ve even personally lost friends to this horrible disease. Glioblastoma grows and spreads quickly. The normal survival rate for this cancer is frighteningly low.

That is why health scientists are looking for help from CBD.

The research team tested a CBD isolate (which is 100% CBD) and CBD extract (usually around 4-12% CBD) against brain cancer cells.

Their experiments showed that CBD slows cancer cell growth and is toxic to human glioblastoma cell lines!

Researchers believe CBD targets the mitochondria (powerhouse) of cancer cells. When the mitochondria were damaged, the cancer cells seemed to malfunction and harm themselves and die – all while leaving normal cells alone.

They also found there is almost no difference between the isolate (100% CBD) and the extract (4-12%) – both were found to be effective.
