“Super Snack” Slashes Heart Attack Death Risk 17%!

Dear Reader,

“An apple a day keeps the doctor away

Well, unfortunately this time-honored saying isn’t exactly hitting the mark.

In fact, there’s a delicious “super snack” that works FAR BETTER than an apple – and it could keep your heart happy for a lifetime.

Snacking on this food just twice a week would give your heart a little extra TLC.

Do you ever find yourself occasionally chomping nuts during a football game or when you sat at the bar?

Well, this super snack shouldn’t just be reserved for special occasions.

A new study, presented at the European Society of Cardiology Annual Conferencefound good reasons to grab a handful of nuts more often.

Nuts are a good source of unsaturated fat plus, they are full of protein, minerals, vitaminsfiber, phytosterols, and polyphenols – all of which benefit your heart!

The study followed 5,432 adults over the age of 35 for 12 years. The scientists compiled information on the participantaverage consumption of nuts (including walnuts, pistachios, almonds, hazelnuts, and others).

They found that eating nuts twice a week was linked to a 17 percent lower risk of dying from a heart attack, stroke, or other heart-related condition.

That is quite a drop in risk for eating some nuts a few days a week!

The best nuts are raw, but lightly roasted nuts are okay too.

But what about most people’s favorite kind – the salty ones?

Salt is another one of those things that mainstream nutrition will tell you to stay away from. However, research shows salt has almost nothing to do with high blood pressure (except in a few very sensitive people).

prefer Himalayan or Celtic salt, which you can get a lot of places now. I love Real Salt by Redmond (out of Utah)  it can be found on many online sites.

Your best bet is to buy organic nuts and lightly roast and salt them yourself. But it’s worth noting that the study used nuts you can get anywhere – so use what you can find.

If you’re looking for other ways to take extra care of your heart – you’ll want to read about a surprising juice that can improve heart health, lower blood pressure and more. Read the details here

P.S. When you run out on your next grocery trip to grab some heart-happy nuts – you’ll want to pick up some of this surprising juice that can also help improve your heart healthGo here to find out what it is and add it to your list.
