Drug-Free Sciatica Treatment that WORKS!
Dear Reader,
Do you have numbness in your feet?
Does it sometimes feel like it’s shooting down the side of your leg?
This kind of shooting pain can make it hard to stand. You might even have a constant pain on one side of your tush or even a burning, tingling sensation down your leg.
Often times, it gets worse when you’re sitting.
If any of the above applies to you, chances are you have sciatica.
But before you go popping some mainstream-administered pills that not only do next-to nothing but also come with a foot-long list of side effects… you’ll want to keep reading.
Because there’s an easy drug-free fix to your pain.
The sciatic nerve is a large nerve that starts in your lower back, passes through your buttocks, and makes its way down the side of your leg.
The big problem with sciatica is that around seventeen percent of the population have a sciatic nerve that goes right through a muscle (called the piriformis).
When that muscle becomes inflamed or if we sit on our butt all day long, the nerve gets pinched. THAT causes pain all the way from your butt down to your toes.
But pain and tingling are only the beginning of the problem… pinch the nerve even more and you end up with loss of muscle function (your foot will drop; your leg won’t work well…).
The good news is there‘s a lot you can do to treat it!
- Start by using either warm or cold compress on your butt. I prefer people use cold, but whichever feels better.
- Stretching works really well, particularly your hamstrings (those muscles on the back of your legs).
- Avoid sitting whenever possible. If you can, lay down on your side.
- Get some help a physical therapist, a chiropractor, or even a massage therapist or acupuncturist.
- There are movement therapies like Alexander technique and others that work well too.
I also recommend people try an anti-inflammatory program.
Dr. Scott’s Inflammation-Be-Gone program:
- There are many powerful natural anti-inflammatories that you should take all the time. These include fish oil, curcumin, Boswellia, and others.
- Exercise is a great way to keep inflammation in check. Strangely, exercise increases inflammation for about an hour after exercise, but then it plummets to very low levels – resulting in an overall decrease in inflammation.
- Avoid processed foods and too much sugar. Both sugar and vegetable oils tend to increase inflammation in the body.
- Eat your veggies. Vegetables have a way of calming inflammation.
- Take a probiotic. Your immune system (which controls inflammation) is closely tied to the health of your digestive tract. Make sure you are getting enough healthy bacteria by taking a good probiotic.
