A TASTY Weight Loss Hack?!

Staying healthy (especially this time of year) and keeping your weight balanced can be tough

Not to mention, we are all already spending more time at home and looking for comfort – oftentimes in “comfort foods.”

But now research has found a great way to, not only improve your overall health, but also to get that smaller waist WITHOUT starving yourself.

And it’s all thanks to this TASTY weight loss hack.

I’m talking about adding dried fruit to your diet.

A new studyreleased by the Journal of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, found that people who eat dry fruit are much healthier than those that don’t!

The researchers pooled data from 25,000 people who participated in the National Health and Nutritional Examination Survey and searched for the keys to good health and weight loss.

They discovered that those who consumed more dried fruit had better heart health, better body mass index, smaller waist circumferences, and better blood pressure

Why does it work?

The theory is that when you eat more dried fruit, you’re giving your body more key nutrients that it needs, like fiber, potassium, and other bioactive nutrients.

Those holiday meals can really benefit from some dried cranberries or dried apples thrown into the recipe

Sitting down to watch a game or showAdd a few handfuls of dried fruit to your plate.

Let me caution you that dried food can be a problem because they are a concentrated form of sugar – so a little goes a long way. You also need to make sure you drink enough water because dried fruits pull water from your body (this can lead to constipation for some folks).

But yes, it can be that easy: simply add dried fruit to what you are already eating, and you can benefit your waist and heart at the same time.

You can also take your weight loss to the next level by trying the following.

Dr. Scott’s Plan to Kick-Start Weight Loss:

  • Don’t starve yourself. Just cutting calories is no way to lose weight (even though you hear this from everyone). The way to lose weight is to look at what kind of foods you are eating and not how much.
  • Eat the right foods. If you want to lose weight, you must focus on removing sugar and the foods that act like sugar in your body. This means removing all processed sugary foods (and drinks) as well and reducing grains, sweet fruits, and starchy vegetables as much as possible.
  • Get enough protein. Your muscles are made from protein. To keep your muscles and build new ones, you need to supply your body with the building blocks of muscles. The best way to build muscle is to supplement or eat protein after working out.
  • Exercise. Tell your muscles you still want them around by exercising. Think large muscles in the body, such as the ones in your legs. You strengthen these muscles by walking, running, or lifting weights.
  • Help control blood sugar. If you have a hard time balancing your blood sugar, turn to the herbal extract berberine and the mineral chromium. These both do wonders to control blood sugar and kickstart weight loss.
