[Urgent] Key Nutrients Your Brain Needs Right Now!

Dear Reader,

We all hope to live to 100 or longer. We want to see our grandkids grow…and maybe even meet our great grandkids. We want to retain as much of our independence, strength, and thinking as much as possible.

But the problem is, there is a big disconnect with living longer.

Mainstream docs might have you believing you can keep your body looking (and “feeling” too, they’ll say) younger with endless drugs and surgeries…

But your brain is a whole different ball game.

No matter what mainstream medical doctors say about living longer, your brain won’t make it to old age without THESE key nutrients.

In a recent study, published in the journal Nutrientsresearchers found that eating a diet rich in Vitamin E and carotenoids goes a long way to keeping those brain cells intact as you age.

The study (called the HANDLS study) is an ongoing perspective cohort study of close to 4,000 people.

It started in 2004 and has investigated dietary antioxidants such as Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, carotenoids (alphacarotene, betacarotene, lutein, zeaxanthin, betacryptoxanthin, and lycopene) on brain performance as people age

While all of those antioxidants seem to help people’s brains, the combination of carotenoids and Vitamin E seems to improve cognitive performance

The research team found that people who got enough Vitamin E and carotenoids had improved verbal memoryverbal fluency, attention, working memoryand executive function when compared to people who didn’t get enough.

Antioxidants work because they block so-called reactive oxygen species (or ROS). ROS tend to accumulate as we age AND the brain has been shown to be particularly vulnerable to oxidative damage from ROS. (This is in part because the brain consumes about 20 percent of all oxygen we breathe – the more oxygen the more reactive-oxygen-species)

Brain cells are harmed, deteriorate, or die because of an imbalance in oxidative stress due to excessive ROS.

That’s where vitamin E and carotenoids play roll: they squash ROS and protect your brain cells. And decreasing cognitive decline means less Alzheimer’s disease.

But you can take it a step further.

Dr. Scott’s Brain Program:

  • Exercise: Yes, exercise increases brain health. Even a little exercise can go a long way. Try walking a few minutes every day and see if you can increase that to 30-40 minutes a day.
  • Curcumin: Many studies have shown that adding curcumin helps to protect the brain
  • Omega 3 fish oil is an essential fatty acid your brain needs to support its function and protect against oxidation.
  • CoQ10 is powerful antioxidant and helps to provide energy throughout the body.

P.S Often times our body sends out signals that something bigger is going wrong. And they’re not always easy to decode! Find out how this sign could be your brain sending an SOS.
