[COVID-19] Could It Make You Blind?!

If there’s one word that describes COVID-19 (besides terrifying), I’d have to say it’d be peculiar.

It came from nowhere… left thousands dead… and is STILL baffling all medical experts and scientists.

And it’s not done yet.

Researchers have just discovered that there’s another strange long-term effect to add to the list…

It can make you go BLIND!

Here’s everything you need to know.

The number of long-term complications resulting from a COVID-19 infection is growing longer by the day.

Not only do they deal with heart arrhythmias, insomnia, and anxiety and blood pressure issues, now there’s something ELSE to add to the list…

Blindness.

Researchers discovered that those who suffer from the “long” version of COVID (symptoms that can last for months after) could also have to look out for vision loss.

It’s a bizarre condition called keratitis.

Keratitis is inflammation of the cornea. It can cause sight-threatening damage to the tissues or fluids inside your eyeball, turning into an infection called endophthalmitis.

But keratitis is an extremely rare condition. In fact, ophthalmologists can go their whole practice without ever seeing someone with the condition.

That’s why doctors took notice when three patients at the New York health system suffering from COVID-19 also developed keratitis.

Of the three people who got keratitis, one died, one had one eye removed, and the other lost all sight.

And to beat all, two other cases have been reported: one in Australia and in .

Thankfully, the cases have been extremely rare and not widespread. And hopefully, it’ll stay an anomaly.

However, if you have symptoms like redness, eyelid swelling, or discharge from your eye, call your doctor immediately.

Like so many things with COVID-19, if you’re NOT healthy, your body takes a hit when the virus strikes.

Once again, your best protection is to get enough exercise, eat well, and take supplements to ensure your body is healthy.

P.S. As if it couldn’t get any stranger, COVID-19 attacks this group differently. Find out more right here.
