
Morning Trick SLASHES Cancer Risk

We’ve all heard the phrase “The early bird catches the worm.”
And some of you might even remember, “Early to bed, early to rise, keeps one healthy, wealthy, and wise.”
There’s a reason these sayings have stuck around for so long—getting up earlier and going to bed earlier IS better for you!
But did you know you could DOUBLE the healthy benefits of being an early bird while SLASHING your cancer risk?
All it takes is adding one small change to your morning routine.
Researchers discovered that exercising in the MORNING, goes a long way towards preventing cancer.
Scientists at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health discovered that regular exercise, specifically between 8AM and 10AM, protected folks from cancer.
For the study, the researchers chose almost 3,000 participants and studied their exercise habits. And they found that women who exercised in the morning were less likely to develop breast tumors, and men were less likely to develop prostate tumors.
But why?
It all boils down to something called circadian rhythm, which is essentially your body’s internal clock.
It’s what tells you when to go to sleep and when to get up. And it can be affected by a number of things.
In recent years, scientists have discovered that your circadian rhythm has a lot to do with your overall health.
People with a healthy circadian rhythm have better metabolism and weight control, are less stressed and anxious, and even have healthier brains, hearts, and immune function.
When you exercise in the morning, your body can better regulate hormones, specifically melatonin.
But if you exercise later in the day, your body produces LESS melatonin, and suddenly your circadian rhythm becomes confused about what time of day it is.
And several past studies have linked damaging your circadian rhythm to cancer.
If you are looking to normalize your circadian rhythm, then taking 1-3 milligrams of melatonin is your best bet, along with making sure you are exercising in the morning.
It doesn’t matter whether you decide to jog, walk briskly, or pump some iron (for you ambitious folks), exercising period prevented the participants from developing prostate or breast cancer.
So get out there, get active, and soon you’ll be lowering your cancer risk.
