Stop Migraines FAST (6 EASY Tricks)

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

If you’ve ever had a migraine, you already know it’s MUCH worse than just a headache.

The throbbing pain… the blurred vision… and the extreme light and sound sensitivity can keep you in bed for hours… or even days.

And mainstream docs offer you NO HELP. They’ll suggest the usual prescription drugs or something even stranger like Botox!

But before you inject your face with poison or find yourself dependent on drugs, read this.

Because there are 6 all-natural ways to say goodbye to your migraines FAST… and they’re affordable, safe, and have no side effects.

Migraines can cause visual and auditory disturbances, numbness tingling, sensitivity to touch, smell… and so much more.

And most of the time, you simply have to wait it out. But who wants to wait in misery?

Now you don’t have to.

Your first step to stop migraines is to work on your triggers.

Common triggers are chocolate, weather changes, intense exercise, hormones, poor sleep, stress, and certain medications.

Take a look at your daily routine and see if any of these rings a bell. Then, rule out the ones you do have control over vs. those you can’t control, like weather changes.

After getting your triggers under control, make sure you are getting enough of each the following:

  1. Riboflavin or vitamin B2 plays a critical role in turning food into energy. Taking high doses (200 milligrams a day) of vitamin B2 has been used for many years and has been shown to reduce both the frequency AND duration of a migraine.
  2. Magnesium is a mineral that is essential for nerve function, blood sugar control, and muscle relaxation. I prefer magnesium threonate (or L-threonate) which is good for migraines as well as brain health and cognition. I suggest between 400-600 milligrams a day.
  3. CoQ10 or coenzyme Q10 is a vitamin-like substance found in every cell in your body. CoQ10 helps with energy production and is a powerful antioxidant. People who suffer from migraines generally take 100 milligrams of CoQ10, three times a day.
  4. Feverfew and butterbur are two herbs that have been well-studied for migraine prevention.
  5. Melatonin is a hormone that plays a role in our circadian rhythm, which controls our sleep and daily routine. Studies have shown that it’s a promising way to prevent migraines. I think it works so well because it puts you back on a regular schedule and helps with sleep, both of which can reduce migraines.

A reminder: please seek healthcare whenever headaches are stronger than normal or last for too long. They could be a sign of something more serious.

P.S. If you suffer from chronic migraines, and none of the above methods work, you’ll want to make sure you get screened for this deadly condition. Click here to find out more.
