[URGENT] Massive Hand Sanitizer Recall!

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

If you’re like most folks, you probably have bottles of hand sanitizer tucked away in all kinds of places… your purse… your car… and on just about every surface in your house.

After what we’ve all lived through in the last year, it’s completely understandable.

But unfortunately, you could be putting yourself in danger.

The FDA has just issued a MASSIVE hand sanitizer recall… and yours could be on the list.

Here’s how to know what to look for.

People turn to hand sanitizers because they want to stay healthy… but now that could be dangerous.

The FDA has recently released a recall of several hand sanitizers due to contamination.

The first problem was found by an online pharmacy called Valisure. The Connecticut-based company tests many of the products they carry to ensure their products are what the manufacturers say they are.

Valisure found benzene, a known human carcinogen and multiple OTHER contaminants, in several batches (and multiple brands) of hand sanitizers.

In fact, they found benzene in 17 percent of all sanitizers they tested.

But it gets even stranger…

The FDA found microbes growing in another hand sanitizer (Durisan Antimicrobial Solutions Hand Sanitizer manufactured by Sanit Technologies LLC).

The test found high levels of Burkholderia cepacia and Ralstonia pickettii – both are bacteria that can lead to serious infections.

And guess what? People with compromised immune systems are at increased risk from these infections.

Having contaminants in hand sanitizers is especially problematic for children because their size makes it easy to get a toxic dose.

This also goes for seniors. As you age, your skin becomes thinner, making you more susceptible to toxins.

I’ve never been a fan of hand sanitizers because they can lead to bacteria-resistant superbugs, but I understand why they can be necessary now.

Remember that the coronavirus has a fatty outer cell, so simple soap and water will work for most people.

In fact, the Centers for Disease Control suggests washing with soap and water for 20 seconds is the best way to remove the virus… not hand sanitizer.

You can find out more about which batches are contaminated right here.

P.S. Hand sanitizers aren’t the only place you can find the carcinogen benzene. It’s also been discovered in this common household item. Read all about it here.
