3-Step Test PREDICTS Alzheimer’s FASTER

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

No one can predict the future… or can they?

When it comes to Alzheimer’s disease, every second counts… and that means developing tests that can catch it earlier and earlier.

Years ago, autopsy was the only way to know if you had the disease, and we’ve progressed somewhat with brain scans.

But these tests are expensive… and worse, they can only tell you if you’ve got very advanced Alzheimer’s.

And by then, it might be too late.

But now, that’s all about to change.

Recently, researchers have discovered a 3-step test that can PREDICT Alzheimer’s disease years before any symptoms show up… with a whopping 90 percent accuracy.

Here’s everything you need to know.

*****

A research team recently discovered that combining a simple mental assessment with a blood test could predict whether or not you get Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.

They did so by studying a group of 340 senior participants who hadn’t yet showed signs of dementia or Alzheimer’s.

The participants took a short 10-minute assessment given by most doctors called the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE). Then, they had their blood taken and examined for the presence of APOE (a gene linked to Alzheimer’s disease) as well as their levels of plasma phosphorylated tau (p-tau).

As you probably already know, Alzheimer’s can be caused by a buildup of tau plaques and tangles, which clog up your brain and destroy your memory.

And as it turns out, the combination of these three test results were KEY to predicting Alzheimer’s early.

In fact, folks who had a low score on their MMSE, as well as the APOE gene and higher levels of tau plasma, were doomed to be diagnosed with dementia.

But the encouraging part is that it could be caught EARLY… up to 2 to 6 years ahead of time comparatively.

Unfortunately, the plasma phosphorylated tau test is new and not yet available everywhere, but stay tuned for updates.

In the meantime, you can start making changes TODAY that will keep your brain cells healthy.

Dr. Scott’s Brain-Protection Plan:

  • Increase protein. Protein is your friend for a healthy brain. It helps to create all the brain chemicals (neurotransmitters) that are needed for good function.
  • Eat good fats. The human brain is nearly 60 percent fat. This should tell you how important fat is to the brain. Essential fatty acids (fish oil) are absolutely vital for brain function (and would win the “most needed nutrient for the brain” if I was voting).
  • Creatine. This is an amino acid that’s good for the brain and helps support energy production.
  • CoQ10. A powerful antioxidant that helps provide energy throughout the body and regulates blood flow.
