[COVID Vaccine] Try This Food “Booster”
Dear Living Well Daily Reader,
The COVID-19 vaccine rollout has been less than perfect, to say the least.
When the vaccine finally came out, scheduling was a nightmare. And though it’s more open now, that hasn’t begun to solve the real problems…
You never know WHICH brand of vaccine you’ll get, and the side effects have been all over the map.
So if you’ve been holding out, I can’t say I blame you.
But now’s the time to sign up for your shot… and it’ll be a lot easier thanks to this secret.
Researchers have uncovered a food “booster” to help you prep for AND recover from your appointment.
And it’s as simple as can be!

When it comes to getting your vaccine, now you can breathe easier.
Because it turns out, there’s a LOT you can do to prepare your body and calm your mind before your shot.
And it starts with the food you put in your mouth.
Let me show you how to get your body in tiptop shape and help keep vaccine side effects at a minimum.
- Green vegetables. Spinach, collards, kale, broccoli, and bok choy are loaded with antioxidants that help combat inflammation in the body. Broccoli (one of the true “superfoods”) is especially powerful because it contains a sulfur-rich compound called sulforaphane. Sulforaphane has powerful health benefits, including anti-cancer, heart health, and blood sugar balancing properties. But it also helps with inflammation and acts as a powerful antioxidant.
- Onions and Garlic. Both onions and garlic contain an excellent source of prebiotic fiber which helps feed your microbiome. They’re also known to be antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal. Garlic has been studied to reduce inflammation and even lower high blood pressure. Onions contain many compounds which help remove toxins from the body and normalize digestion.
- Turmeric. If you aren’t taking turmeric (or its extract curcumin), you should really consider it. Turmeric is super great for your liver, helps you detoxify your body, and it combats inflammation. It’s also great for the brain and helps reduce stress.
- Blueberries. Blueberries are a wonderfully low-sugar fruit that are full of antioxidants and have natural anti-inflammatory properties. Blueberries have also been studied to increase serotonin (that feel-good hormone in your brain).
One of the best ways to get as many of these nutrients as possible is to make a soup. Try combining as many of these as you can, and have some before your appointment. While you’re at it, save some for after in case you’re not feeling well.
As always, make sure you are covering the basics by taking a good multi-vitamin, getting enough B-vitamins, vitamin C, and vitamin D, and taking a fish oil supplement.
All vaccinations do have side effects, and this one is no exception. You may deal with a headache, flu-like feelings, or mild soreness at the injection spot, but at least you’ll be prepping your body to be as strong as it can be.
