Miracle Nutrient PROTECTS Your Lungs from Infections

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

The world is a crazy place.

With easy international travel, a new bug can get around the world quicker than you can blink.

And it’s up to every one of us to make our bodies strong to fight respiratory infections like COVID-19.

Because as we’ve learned in the pandemic, there’s almost nothing more terrifying than an infection that spreads to your lungs … especially if you’re a senior.

But now you can PROTECT your lungs from infection thanks to this miracle nutrient.

*****

It turns out, vitamin D is your best chance for avoiding AND surviving acute respiratory infections.

A new article published in the journal Lancet pulled together a meta-analysis of studies to see how vitamin D stacks up for fighting infections.

The meta-analysis was huge, including 46 randomly controlled trials (75,541 participants in all).

And the researchers discovered that the folks in the vitamin D groups had MUCH fewer cases of acute respiratory infections.

Not only that, specifically patients who were given 400–1000IU a day for a year stayed healthy.

One of the reasons why vitamin D was so effective at preventing respiratory infections is because it’s a key protector of your immune system. Without vitamin D, you basically open the gate to all manner of viruses and infections.

And this isn’t the first time it’s been shown to protect your lungs in particular. Another study found that vitamin D could help relieve asthma symptoms.

So… TAKE YOUR VITAMIN D!

And in the meantime, incorporate some of the following to make your immune system even stronger.

Dr. Scott’s Strong Immune Program:

  • Eat well. I like to include lots of garlic and onions in my food during flu season. Onions and garlic have long been used for their healing properties, and they’re a tasty addition to any meal (especially soups).
  • Vitamin D. I recommend taking 3,000-5,000IU of vitamin D every day.
  • Berberine, turmeric, and olive leaf. These herbs help give your immune system the boost it needs to kick the infections out the door.
  • Probiotics and polyphenols. There is a ton of research on probiotics and immunity. I take my probiotic in a superfood blend, so I get both gut health and the added antioxidant power of plant foods (polyphenols).
