The #1 Supplement to SLASH Early Death Risk 33%

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

One of the most common questions I get is, what supplement should I take?

It makes sense. After all, supplements can be an EXPENSIVE investment if you don’t know what to look for.

It also doesn’t help that the mainstream has been preaching against supplements for years.

But don’t worry—I’m going to save you a lot of money and grief.

Because there’s one supplement I’ve been recommending to my patients that now has even more research to back it up.

Today, I’m going to tell you about the number one supplement to SLASH your risk of early death by 33 percent!

It’s affordable, and you can find it just about anywhere.

OK, you’ve been patient… here’s the answer.

Omega-3 fatty acids.

Omega-3 fatty acids are essential fats your body needs, just like vitamins and minerals. There are two that are the most important: EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid).

These fats are found mostly in cold-water fish like salmon, and the body needs EPA and DHA omega-3s to develop and function optimally in every stage of life.

Now, research published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that a low Omega-3 Index can show whether or not you may die early.

The Omega-3 index is a measure of the EPA and DHA levels inside your cells. If you’re constantly taking omega-3s in your diet or supplementing, then you have a high index. If you never get them in your diet, then you may have a low index.

The study pulled its data from the Framingham Heart Study, one of the longest ongoing health studies in the world.

And the research was clear: there was a strong link between a low Omega-3 Index and a risk of death from any cause.

In fact, having a high Omega-3 Index meant having a 33 percent LESS chance of dying.

There’s more…

The Women’s Health Initiative Memory Study, the Heart and Soul Study, AND the Ludwigshafen Risk and Cardiovascular Health Study all showed that a healthy Omega-3 Index is key to living longer.

The research team also pointed to Japan, where the Omega-3 Index is typically 8 percent higher than in the United States, and the people have an expected lifespan up to five years longer than Americans.

The answer is clear. It’s time to start with a good fish oil supplement. Look for one that contains 500mg daily of combined EPA and DHA. If you’re already battling heart disease, make sure to aim higher: go for 800mg to 1,000mg daily.
