DITCH the Calcium! (Try This “Bone Rejuvenator” Instead)

Longtime readers know that I’m not a big fan of calcium. And that INCLUDES when we’re talking about bone health.

In fact, I think it’s one of the most overrated and oversold nutrients out there.

And I’m in good company… experts from all over are coming around to the fact that weak bones need more than just calcium.

Because the plain fact is calcium is NOT the be-all and end-all for maintaining strong bones as you age.

New research has revealed that this startling natural ingredient could help cut the risk of hip and back fractures…

But I’m betting you haven’t heard of it.

There’s one thing we all fear once we hit a certain age…

Falls.

All it takes is one accident to cost you your mobility… and your independence.

And despite what mainstream medicine says, chugging glass after glass of milk each day isn’t going to cut it when it comes to keeping your bones ironclad.

The REAL Reason Bones Break

You see, the real reason bones weaken as you age is thanks to a change in bone density.  And this is thanks to two things: your osteoblasts (the “builders”) decrease, but osteoclasts (the “cleaners”) ramp up. This means that before your bones can regenerate, they’re already being broken down further.

But the secret to stopping those overeager “cleaner” cells is really quite simple.

It’s thanks to an enzyme called SIRT1.

Some researchers believe SIRT1 is key to living a long, healthy life… possibly even well past 100 years old!

Part of that is thanks to its ability to balance out your “builder” and “cleaner” cells. The thing is, though, you have to activate SIRT1 to get strong bones…

And this special compound is just the ticket.

It’s called trans-resveratrol, or T-Rev.

In a recent study out of Australia, researchers recently put T-Rev to the test with a 24-month randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover study.

The participants were post-menopausal women who were at risk for bone loss. Each day, half of the group took T-Rev. The other half was given a placebo.

And after just half of the study time had passed, the researchers saw results.

They found that T-Rev may help slow down those pesky “cleaner” cells. But even better? It also could pump up the “builders”!

Trans-resveratrol Linked to Better Bone Density

When compared to the placebo group, the participants taking T-Rev saw greater bone density in their lumbar spines PLUS greater bone density over placebo in their femoral necks.

That means not only were their lower backs strengthened, but they also had stronger leg bones as well!

You see, your femoral neck is where your thigh bone connects to your hip— and usually right where breaks occur during a fall.

So it’s no surprise that they also reduced their long-term risk for a major hip fracture too.

But the best news of all? Trans-resveratrol is affordable and widely available anywhere supplements are sold. Look for T-Rev alone or as part of a more comprehensive formula containing other bone-friendly ingredients such as vitamins D and E.

So, what are you waiting for?

It’s time to toss those old calcium supplements in the trash and try something new altogether.

It’s time to feel stronger.
