“Silk Berry” Extract SINKS Blood Sugar Spikes by 40%!

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

If you have diabetes, you know firsthand how wretched it can be.

The constant finger pricks… painful injections… and the pill popping can drive anyone crazy.

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Diabetes could be setting you up for deadlier conditions, like heart and kidney disease… or even Alzheimer’s.

Fortunately, there are ways to stop it.

A new study has uncovered a “silk berry” extract that can SINK blood sugar spikes by 40 percent!

And it comes from a very strange place.

*****

I’m talking about mulberry leaf extract.

You may know of mulberries from jam or wine, but they pack more than just a flavorful punch.

The berries themselves are full of vitamins, minerals, and other powerful plant compounds, but the leaves of the plant also have many medicinal properties.

For centuries, the leaves have been made into tea to help control inflammation, protect the liver, and help with weight loss.

And it’s all of these reasons (and more) that made researchers question if a special mulberry extract called Reducose could actually lower blood sugar.

For the study, 37 adults were divided into two groups. After fasting overnight, one group was given 75mg of sucrose and the other was given 75mg of sucrose with mulberry extract.

Then, the researchers obsessively monitored increases in blood sugar by doing a blood test every 15 minutes, then 30 minutes, for each group.

And they discovered something astounding…

Mulberry leaf extract mimics glucose and slows down the absorption of actual glucose into the bloodstream.

In fact, the extract helped so much that it dropped blood glucose by 42 percent and insulin resistance by 41 percent!

It also seems to block digestive enzymes, meaning much of the sugar eaten was pushed out of the body before it could be digested. This helps you to feel full faster because more sugar in certain parts of your digestive tract signals the brain that you are full.

You can get mulberry leaf as a tea or a tincture online or at your local health food store.
