Popular Snack SPREADS Cancer!? (Scary)

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

Ask your mainstream doc what causes cancer to spread, and he’ll rattle off things like drinking alcohol, being overweight, and suffering from bad genes.

Sure, those things don’t help… but that’s hardly an exhaustive list.

And it certainly doesn’t account for those big three “treatments” that leave your body weak and broken: radiation, chemotherapy, and surgery.

But there’s another cancer-spreading trigger that few know about.

New research has surfaced showing that this popular snack could SPREAD cancer.

Worst of all, it’s a food most people are already eating every day.

As mind-boggling as it sounds, eating peanuts is like pouring gasoline on the fire of cancer.

A recent study by University of Liverpool researchers found that frequent consumption of peanuts by cancer patients caused the cancer to spread.

But wait— how could something as harmless as a peanut butter sandwich cause cancer?

It turns out that a certain molecule inside of peanuts is to blame. It’s called Peanut agglutinin (PNA).

PNA is a protein that attaches itself to carbohydrates rapidly. In fact, as soon as PNA hits your bloodstream, it binds to the first carbohydrate it can find – which is often a carbohydrate on the wall of the blood vessel.

Needless to say, your body doesn’t like it when things stick to blood vessels walls – that’s how you get high blood pressure and cholesterol.

Once your body detects the PNA, it releases a series of chemicals called cytokines which increase inflammation and are also well-known promoters of cancer metastasis.

These cytokines also do something else – they increase surface adhesion molecules, which act as a magnet to cancer cells that might be floating around the blood stream.

Suddenly the floating cancer cells set up a new home.

Currently, there are studies looking into just how many peanuts you need to eat to cause a rise in PNA in your body. But as of now, I’d say to stay away from peanuts – especially if you already have cancer or if it runs in your family.
