AVOID This So-Called “Harmless” Drink (STROKE RISK!)

High blood pressure and stroke are like two peas in a pod… if you have high blood pressure, then you’re MUCH more likely to have a stroke.

But if you have a mainstream doctor, blood pressure is ALL he’ll talk about when he talks about stroke.

As they say, close, but no cigar.

There are a lot of outside factors that can increase your stroke risk… and like a wolf in sheep’s clothing, they seem safe when they’re actually DEADLY.

Now, a recent study has found that you should AVOID this “harmless” drink at all costs… because it could TRIPLE your risk of stroke.

Even if you only drink it once a day.

Diet soda manufactures have done a great job convincing you their can of chemicals is healthy – when nothing could be further from the truth.

According to researchers from Boston University School of Medicine, diet soda can triple your risk of stroke… even if you only drink it once a day.

The researchers looked at 3,000 participants over the age of 45 and asked them how frequently they drank diet soda.

And they found that participants who drank at least one diet soda per day were nearly three times as likely to have an ischemic stroke (stroke caused by a blood clot) than those that didn’t drink diet soda.

Worse still, the researchers found that diet soda also increased the risk of dementia.

This study adds to the research that has long shown a strong association between frequent consumption of diet sodas and poor blood vessel health.

Now to be clear, I’m not telling you to go back to drinking regular soda. It’s chock full of sugar and can leave you with cavities, kidney issues, and diabetes, among other issues.

Let’s focus on healthy substitutes.

If you like diet soda because of the carbonation, try seltzer instead. It’s become incredibly popular in recent years and comes in many flavors, from coconut to watermelon.

But if you drink diet soda for the caffeine boost, try unsweetened tea instead.
