REVEALED: The “Golden Secret” to Better Sleep
If you struggle with getting a good night’s sleep, you’ve probably tried everything… including those over-the-counter drugs at the pharmacy.
Sure, those things work GREAT… for a day or two.
While you may have closed your eyes for a full eight hours, you wake up still not rested.
And some of those drugs can leave you with that “drugged-out” feeling that takes HOURS to shake.
There has to be a better way.
And now there is.
What would you say if I told you that you could get a great night’s sleep – without the morning blahs?
Thanks to this “golden secret,” you can.
I’m talking about saffron.
While saffron isn’t as common in the U.S., it’s been a mainstay in the diet of people in China and India for hundreds of years.
And now science is waking up – pardon the pun – to the restful benefits of this powerful spice.
A recent study found that saffron is great at helping people sleep through the night.
Researchers observed the sleep patterns of folks who hadn’t had a good night’s sleep in at least 28 days. Then, they divided them into three treatment groups: one received 14mg of saffron daily, another took 28mg of saffron, and the third received a placebo.
The results showed that both doses of saffron improved ratings for sleep quality and mood after waking, as well as reduced insomnia.
One of the reasons it works so well is that it can increase melatonin naturally. If you’re a frequent reader of Living Well Daily, you’ll remember that melatonin is a hormone that helps your body know it’s time to sleep.
Another reason saffron is a great sleep aide is that it can decrease levels of cortisol, the stress hormone.
If you want to try saffron for yourself, you can find saffron in capsule form online here at Vitacost.com.
