Beat Chronic Fatigue with This Effortless Trick
Dear Living Well Daily Reader,
If you’re scratching your head about what to do about chronic fatigue syndrome, you’re not alone.
While there’s a lot of pain and misery with having chronic fatigue, it’s the overwhelming exhaustion that most people struggle with.
You’ve probably tried extra strength coffee, energy drinks, and all sorts of tricks.
But what if I told you that there’s a better solution to get you back on your feet?
Now it’s possible to reclaim your energy and beat back chronic fatigue with this effortless trick.
I’ve talked before about the importance of a diverse microbiome… but now researchers have found it could be the key to defeating chronic fatigue syndrome.
While we have a lot to learn about this collection of (mostly) bacteria that inhabit our guts, one thing is very clear: having a vast and varied selection of bacteria is better than having only a few.
That’s why a group of researchers publishing their study in the British Medical Journal decided to investigate the diversity of the microbiome of people with chronic fatigue syndrome.
And they discovered that folks with chronic fatigue have less diverse bacteria, yet they had higher bacterial counts. This means that the bacteria they did have wasn’t doing its job.
There’s something else— the chronic fatigue sufferers in the study also had lower levels of butyrate, a beneficial molecule produced by gut bacteria.
Butyrate is important for gut health because it helps to keep inflammation low and prevents leaky gut syndrome.
Having low butyrate tends to create a bad feedback loop where inflammation and leaky gut make it even harder for butyrate-producing bacteria to thrive.
And this just makes butyrate levels drop even further.
So, how do you return your digestive tract to its former health?
Let me show you.
Dr. Scott’s Gut Health Program for People with Chronic Fatigue
- This supplement is your easiest path to a healthy and diverse digestive system. I prefer a probiotic product that contains a fiber prebiotic along with good bacteria.
- Eat enough fiber. This will not only help with regular bowel movements, but it will also help stimulate healthy bacterial growth. I always suggest people choose both water-soluble and water-insoluble fiber. One of my favorite fibers is ground flax seeds.
- Eat fermented foods. This should include yogurts, sauerkraut, miso, natto and others. Use probiotics to make sure you are getting enough good bacteria.
- L-Glutamine. This is a powerful amino acid that can help repair the lining of the gut.
- Throw away junk food, trans fats, processed, and chemical foods. All processed foods, trans fatty acids, artificial sweeteners, and alcohol harm gut bacteria. Do what you can to limit these non-foods in your diet.
P.S. If you really want to go the extra mile, try this “table fruit” to help get an even healthier gut.
