COVID-19 INCREASES Your Risk of This Deadly Disease

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

I keep hearing on the news that each new COVID-19 variant is more infectious than the last.

So far, the mainstream has done everything but outright SAY that we’re all going to get it at some point.

But the problem with this sort of thinking is, it makes people shrug their shoulders and give up taking measures to protect themselves.

Because if you’re going to get it anyway, why bother to wear a mask?

I know this may surprise you, but the mainstream media has gotten it wrong AGAIN.

There are MANY reasons you never want to get this infection.

And one of the biggest is this disease.

A new study has found that COVID-19 could INCREASE your risk of this deadly disease.

I’m talking about diabetes.

Diabetes has been a problem for a very long time. It’s a slow-burn pandemic that now affects 10 percent of people in the United States (and the number is climbing).

That’s bad news, because poor blood sugar control also skyrockets your risk of heart, kidney, and liver disease, as well as certain cancers.

And now we’ve discovered that COVID-19 can DESTROY blood sugar control.

A recent study found that 91 percent of the people with active COVID-19 who had a breathing tube put in (intubated) had high blood sugar.  Almost 73 percent of people who died of the disease also had high blood sugar.

Why this is happening is making scientists scratch their heads.

Right now, they think it has to do with the virus reducing levels of adiponectin, a hormone produced by fat cells that acts like a key, opening the door of other cells so that sugar can go inside.

Other researchers have found that the virus can invade fat cells, which can cause problems with adiponectin production.

Either way, your pathway to health is NOT to give up and just get the infection. You want to avoid it at all costs.

If you’ve already had COVID-19, make sure you look out for signs of diabetes, such as feeling thirsty or hungry all the time, or being very tired.
