Could This Drug WORSEN Your Diabetes? (Shocking)

Dear Living Well Daily Reader,

It is mind-blowing that such useless drugs are still being prescribed today.

And more problems CONTINUE to be found with mainstream medications every day.

If I had a dollar for every time I wrote “these are some of the worst drugs on the planet” in this e-letter, I’d be a millionaire… just like the Big Pharma execs who push them.

I’m sure the researchers, too, are getting exhausted.

Because their negative findings never seem to cease.

And now, they’ve found that this best-selling mainstream drug could WORSEN diabetes.

Statin drugs like atorvastatin, lovastatin, pitavastatin, have been linked to muscle pain, digestive problems, nerve pain, and increased cataracts.

As if that weren’t enough, now they’ve been associated with diabetes.

In this new study, the researchers found that people taking statins were more likely to experience dangerous spikes in blood sugar and even require insulin or new medications to manage their condition.

The researchers concluded that people taking statins who already had diabetes were 37 percent more likely to have their diabetes worsen.

In fact, diabetic patients who were taking larger doses of statins (so-called “aggressive” therapy) had an 83 percent greater likelihood of diabetes progression.

Long-term readers will know I’m not a big fan of dropping cholesterol – for most people, changing cholesterol will do nothing in terms of your life expectancy.

Which means, in the end, all those statin side effects are for nothing, because these drugs do nothing to reduce heart disease or death from heart disease. But, if you’re still worried or you have very high cholesterol, here are some tips to help you.

Dr. Scott’s Cholesterol-Controlling Plan

  • Start with your diet. Eat as many good proteins – like grass-fed beef, fish, chicken, nuts and seeds – along with low-starchy veggies as you can. Avoid sugar and vegetable oils and use only olive oil.
  • Fish oil. The EPA ad DHA found in fish oil have long been shown to be heart healthy and help manage cholesterol levels. Take between one to three grams a day. Studies have shown that omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil can reduce heart disease by up to 52 percent. Fish oils work by reducing inflammation and softening up arteries so they stay flexible.
  • This antioxidant/enzyme is found throughout our bodies and is used for energy production. Since our heart is one of the most energy-hungry organs in our bodies, it needs CoQ10. CoQ10 has been shown to lower inflammation, reduce blood clots, lower blood pressure and help lower cholesterol levels.
  • Niacin. Vitamin B3 (also called niacin) has been used effectively for decades to lower cholesterol. It has also been shown to reduce triglycerides and increase HDL cholesterol (the “good” cholesterol).
  • Garlic. Eat as much garlic as you like or take it as a supplement. It’s great for your heart and for lowering cholesterol.

P.S. Did you know that statins could cause you to gain unsightly weight as well? Find out more right here.
